· Kellymom.com - This internationally recognized website was developed by Kelly Bonyata (BS, IBCLC) to provide evidence-based information on breastfeeding, sleep and parenting. Kelly stays up-to-date with the latest research on lactation, infant nutrition and infant development so that she can provide parents and professionals with the most current information available. Do you have a friend who needs breastfeeding advice in another language? You will find some of the articles on her website have been translated by bilingual moms into Bulgarian, German, Hebrew, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.
· Breastfeeding.com - A very informative site with lots of breastfeeding information.
· Breastfeedingonline.com - Cindy Curtis (RNC, IBCLC, CCE) has created this website to help empower women to choose to breastfeed and to educate society at large about the importance and benefits of breastfeeding. This site, like the above kellymom.com, is also evidence-based.

· La Leche League turns 50 - To better understand where birth and breastfeeding were when La Leche League was begun, read this article describing Marian Tompson's role in starting LLL. In 2001, Mrs. Tompson began a new organization in Evanston, IL called “Another Look” to help educate others about the issue of whether HIV can be passed from mother to child through breast milk, as is commonly believed.

She began helping mothers breastfeed 25 years ago. She became a La Leche League Leader in 1986 and has developed a style of bottle-feeding that can be used to reinforce proper breastfeeding. This article describing her method (the Kassing Method of bottle-feeding) was voted by the journal’s readers as The Most Useful Article of 2002. The Kassing Method of bottle-feeding is now used worldwide.
